Lower Level Pencarrow Lighthouse
I had the chance to take some photos of the Lower Level Pencarrow Lighthouse on the weekend, and although the weather was dull, I decided that it was still worth while to get some images, although I could not see the original lighthouse due to fog, I did manage to get some of the lower light house.
A little history:
In 1906 a second lighthouse, which would become known as Lower Pencarrow, was erected at the bottom of the Pencarrow cliffs. It was designed to be used when fog, or cloud, obscured the upper level light, and also to work with the upper light as a day mark.
In latter years the presence of the fog signal would prove more significant to those living at the lighthouse than the light itself. Its presence ensured an ongoing role for a keeper after a new automated lighthouse at Baring Head became operational in 1935 and Pencarrow was used solely as a day mark.

Found these from a while ago
I was thinking about something to write here, but to be honest I have been to busy, with weddings and netball.
So instead of not putting anything up, I figured I would look at some of my much older work..... I found quite a wide range of images as well, so until next enjoy.

The beauty of Gardens .....
This past weekend I was lucky enough to make a visit to Gear Homestead in Porirua...... While we where there, it proved to be an awesome place to take a few more pics of my beautiful daughter.... and at the same time get a few shots of some flowers.

Something a lil different in processing
Well I thought I would try something little different in my processing for this wedding, I did do both conventional and this retro style... and I like them.

Bump and all.....
I had an awesome time on Friday the 11th Feb, I spent a couple of hours down at the Petone foreshore photographing the bump of Haley and Jarred's.
I first met Haley when she was a bridesmaid at her mother Jackie's wedding in 2010.
Here are are a few more shot froms that shoot.

Time with family
Gosh do you know how hard it is to just take pictures like most people.... well most photographers I am sure will tell you that it's hard, because quite often you look at your images and say bugger got an extra something in it, or the lighting is not quite right, or missing half an arm. Well I am one of those, I expect so much more of myself, so this year I decided that I would also take snap shots which is what I consider are photo's of my family and pets etc and that do not need editing, they are memory shots, so here are my first ones.
My family and I spent time on xmas and new year with my brother and his family... Gisborne put on the sunshine.
The below pic just made me smile - it was really hot in Gizzie and here is my nephew trying to get warm by doing sand angels....how swt
