Lighting

Evening, well it is here in New Zealand 8.43pm to be precise. Its been over a week since I last wrote, and its only because I have not had the time. I am a very active person, and play indoor netball a minimum of five days a week, its damn good for the stress levels, and believe you me, I know what stress it, i have it every working day. My photography use to be a great stress relief and it still is to a degree.

I dont spend so much time anymore using photo editing tools, I have learnt the manual settings on my new camera and I love it. Everyday is a day where I am learning something new.

Any way it still be crappy weather here and I have not been out to get photos, I have however, been doing some pregnancy portraits, and if you want to have a look feel free to have a nosy at my page on facebook.
So I know I have titled this lighting so I have three images to show you that where taken at some ungodly hour, using the moonlight/street lighting as my main source of light.
The first one was taken from my back door, the moon was full and the clouds where playing nice.

The second was out at a cemetary and while the lens was open i turned the zoom to get a different look... mmmm spooky huh.

The above is in Christchurch... the lightening amazing......

So last year a couple came to me to have some wedding photos done, after talking to them, I learned that they had horses and a river running through their property... well this got the toughts going and as a result here are a couple of the shots taken at there home.. in their wedding outfits a week after their wedding. I love them.

Wet Weekend

Well its been damn right shitty here in Wellington this weekend, and I was silly enough to say I would have my mates children for a couple of days, anyway having 4 females in the house at one time is a bit of a mission, come Sunday I was biting at the bit to get outside in the rain... just for the sake of it.

So off i went to the Botanical Gardens, lovely lil spot in the heart of Wellington, and they have an amazing glass house. On arriving at the gardens it was still raining and hard it was, so off i went into the glass house, there where not alot of people around which was nice, just the odd parent with their nosy children in tow.
The glass house was nice and warm and there where a number of plants to photograph, here are a few of them.

Anyway after walking around for a bit, i figured that I was bored and the rain was looking inviting. So with that off outside I went, the car was the first stop... just to pick up an umbrella, tape and an old light stand and for what u may ask... for this... its my shelter from the rain, and it worked a treat.

The following pictures are off roses and a small waterfall....enjoy.... i did.....

All Sorts

Well good morning to you all. The time is hear to ramble a bit more about nothing... The images coming up are of scenes around the Lower Hutt and Wellington Region. Which by the way is an awesome place to live. The first one is of Te Papa at night, not that it aint nothing during the day, but by night I think its amazing. This one is one that I took while at Tribute 08 "welcome home to Vietnam Vets' from years past, and I thought is appropriate, it really was odd though, as it was a building across the way, but with the lighting its come up as a cross. I love this image and I felt it looked so much better in black and white... Beautiful huh.

This next one, I was out watching my partner playing soccer, o'dear and I hate soccer, why would anyone in their right mind play that game, give me indoor netball any day, no need to worry about the rain then. Any way I turned around from watching the game and found this, nice view aye....
The rest are just randoms, this one is of a wharf in Eastbourne - Lower Hutt.
These next two are from Riddidord Gardens in Lower Hutt.
