Taking advantage of the nice Welly weather
The weekend just gone 2-3 Oct 2010 was just amazing. A friend of mine went out to see the seals at Red Rocks and I did think bout going, but really just ran out of time.Any way I did have to meet up with her later in the day in Island Bay for a meeting with some clients, and as it was at Island bay I figured that my partner and 6 yr old might wanna join me.
My daughter loved it at the beach, playing with her dad in the sand.
By the time I got to them though she was ready for mummy to take some photos of her, here are my favourite two.

Cute Hannah - What a Star
Hey hey,
I had the best photo shoot on the weekend, a lovely mum of one and one on the way.
Hannah is a right little star, she loved getting dressed in a number of out fits, and each one brought out a personality.
Big thanks to her grandma as well for helping out on the day.... you're awesome.

Mum and Dad are not sure what the sex of baby is at the moment, so we decided that 'baby' was a good start.... :)

Friends and Friendship
mmmm, I hear you say, whats that got to do with photography... well it could be not much but its not. (3 of us are into photography in a big way). Anyway this is about thoughts as well.
I am very lucky to be part of a rather tight group of friends, and every now and then we go a little off track. Sometimes we forget what we have in each other and what our friendship means.
We are all so completely different but that is what makes us.
We all meet through our job, as I guess alot of friendships do, and that was nearly 10 years ago, we have been though alot together, from sad times to happy times, three of the most happiest to date are our trip to Rarotonga as four girls having a good time (thanks to Sharon for the trip) the marriages of our good friends Corina in Wellington and Louise in Rarotonga, where Sharon and I where bridesmaids, and Corina was our life saver do alot of the things that we where not able to do on the day.... and of course the births of our children....
Any way here are a couple of photos that portray our friendship, I think these show what we have and how we have it.
Just as a sign off, I wanna say a big thanks to my girlfriends, you're awesome and I love u all so much.... and I am sure we will have a lot for more happy moments and hopefully a lot less sad ones.... xxxxx

Been Busy
Heya
Well I have been really busy of late, sad huh, with family and netball, I have not been out.
Last night I made an effort to go to our camera club interclub battle with four other clubs from the Wellington region, and the last time we won was at least 5 years ago, and although we only got 3rd, we did really well. I must say we have a number of brilliant photographers in our club, but one really stands out, he is Brent, his images are amazing, last night he got two top marks for a couple of his images, and they truley where amazing. Anyway it was a great night held by all... Big thanks must go the wonderful ladies of the committee for the awesome array of food and drinks... and thanks to the committee for the running.... cheers

I Love the Rain... but I miss the Sun
Again the rain was upon us..... but they that did not stop myself and a friend from heading out to the beach to see what was around.
We found rocks that had the sea water crashing on them, and with the high winds, the water looked awesome.
So off to the shore we went, we layed down on the ground and shot from low down so that we could get the best angle, it was really nice… unfortunately you will have to wait until later for the pics as they are still in the camera, I got a lil busy afterwards. The funny thing was that while we where sheltered from the wind and rain in a big part form a rather large rock, was when we got up to go back to the car there all these people looking at us and it was not until we step out of the shelter that the full force of the wind and rain hit us, but of course to the people watching us, they could not see how much shelter the rock was giving us, they just thought we where idiots I think.
Anyhow as I was laying on the ground in the wind and pissing down rain, I thought back to my last overseas trip and thought I wanna go back. Here is a selection of images from that trip.
